Autumn has arrived.
I guess I can't be too persnickety about that, considering that it is October 6, but I was hoping for a L-O-N-G indian summer since it didn't get really warm until the end of June.
But no, it's here.
We've shut our windows. The leaves are starting to drop. I'm wearing layers when I run in the morning. We take jackets wherever we go.
And yesterday, I turned on the heater. Bummer.
I love those in between months, you know, when you don't have to have the heater on, or the air conditioner. When our electric bill is next to nothing. I love it.
Good news, though! I feel totally justified to start drinking hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate. LOVE. And I get to wear sweaters, of which I just bought two new ones. You know I love a good cardigan. I do. And Land's End sells their basic cardigan for $20. Yep, only $20. How great is that? So I bought two. And I love them. One is a pumpkin color, which I love *almost* as much as I love the color salmon. So I wore them both this week, and felt very sassy.
Enough about me:
Tyson is home from the trail, as of last night. We'll see what mischief he can manage in a week before he goes out again.
AJ is still working on those college plans, but should here soon. I'm hoping he's still working on getting a girlfriend also.
Lilly has perfected sewing darts, a feat I have deemed blog worthy, since that is a hard thing to do and takes a lot of straight pins. Anything you have to sew with a lot of pins is hard to me.
Breck (Lilly's fiance)(Might as well start including him, he is part of the family now)(I guess he better get used to being blog fodder.) is waiting to hear whether he got into BYU or not, which will then determine whether he and Lil will be at BYU Provo, or BYU Idaho.
Megan is loving her job, but is really loving being away from home. Should I be insulted? ;) (No, I'm not insulted, I'm so so happy for her!!)
Zoey got asked to homecoming and we will be going dress shopping on Saturday!! Yahoo!
Tessa lost a hair thing yesterday and pretty much had a meltdown. She had to call me, and I had to promise that we would go buy another one. Problem: we bought it at Pike's Market, and as far as I can tell, we aren't going there until December 28, and we're going to be a little busy with a wedding. Oops.
And that's it. And I'm four minutes early. Man, I'm getting good at whipping these posts out. :)
