I haven't done a wandering post in awhile, and while I know that it should be a Tessa post, this is what we've got today...
:: I think most everyone knows, but in case you don't, Tyson joined the army a couple of weeks ago. He is so excited and so I'm excited as well. Of course, always in the back of my mind is the fact that he could, and probably will go to war now. But this has to stay in the back of my mind or my anxiety will go through the roof. He will head out to basic training on September 23rd in South Carolina, and then when he gets done with that, he will go into an intensive language training program for a year or so. It's going to be interesting, that's for sure!
:: It has been a whirlwind summer! I can't believe that school starts tomorrow. Tessa wasn't too excited that she isn't in the same class as her two best friends, but she is excited that they are at least in the class next to hers. Her teacher is brand spanking new this year. But she is older, having raised a family and then gone back to school. I think it's going to be a great year! Here's to making it through the last year of elementary school!! Yahoo!!
:: Zoey leaves for BYU-I in just a couple of weeks. I think she's ready to go, and spread her wings, and experience living on her own. And I'm ready for her to learn about making decisions on your own, and also reaping the consequences of those decisions. Honestly. It's time for her to have some personal growth. Not me just telling her what to do....
:: Megan has decided to stay here for a little while longer. She is going to start the Pathways program here, which is an online college course. She can transfer if she wants to at a later time. So we are still with two here!
:: Lilly and Breck are back here, living with my dad. It's been a rough month of finding a job, and Breck finally has one. At first, he was a little disappointed that he didn't get a job right off, but it's turning out to be a blessing in disguise since now he will be working at a Physical Therapist office, which is what he wants to do when he graduates school. It's been a good thing!
:: Lilly on the other hand, has no job. Her job is to bug me to get on the stick and get things done.
:: The reason she is bugging me is that I've decided to do a couple of craft fairs this fall! I'll be selling a bunch of different sewing craft stuff. I have hopes, but really we'll see. I just don't know if people are willing to buy stuff for a price that makes it worth it. Hmmm.
:: It's going to be a busy weekend! It's a secret, but I got tickets to go see Caitlynn dancing in the Taylor Swift concert on Friday, then on Saturday, we are having our annual Pyle family goes to Seattle fun day! Busy, busy! but it's going to be fun!
:: and that's all I've got for today.
See you tomorrow...
