**warning! This is a LONG post!!
We have been wanting to go to Disneyland for a LONG time. Well, let me rephrase that... Tessa and I have been wanting to go to Disneyland for a LONG time. So when we got a few extra bucks, away we went!!
It just so happened that the trip was over Tessa's birthday, so we decided to make it a double dip--her birthday at Disneyland. We were able to keep it a secret clear up until the day we left! We woke her up early on the day we left and gave her this shirt, with a note inside that said, "Going to Disneyland right now!" She was pretty excited!
Our first day was spent just getting to LA and checked in and then some dinner at Rainforest Cafe. We love Rainforest Cafe and it was super fun to have a night out on the town before we started the crazy of Disneyland. We were ready for the next day!
The fun of Disneyland in the late fall/early winter is that the place is completely decorated for Christmas.
So much of what I love about Disneyland is all of the details; every little thing is exactly perfect with the atmosphere there. It's amazing! And mesmerizing.
Goofy's house, all done up!
More in Toontown.
It's A Small World ride....
All the wreaths matched the part of the Disneyland they were in. Loved this!!
The Haunted House, decked out for Halloween/Christmas. So much better then the normal Haunted House!
There was a spot all set up for Santa in Frontierland. It was so awesome, and exactly what you would think Santa's house would be. Fantastic!
Look at how beautiful those ornaments are.... So homey! Loved it!
.... and that Mustache! Sa-Weet!!!
All lit up, even more beautiful!!
During the parade, I snapped this picture of the "elf". Doesn't she look like an elf? It's perfect casting!!
Inside the Small World ride...
The castle from the back. It is so beautiful!
The store displays are truly stunning!
Each one is perfect, right down to the last bow.
This sight just makes me happy! The light fixtures, the hedges, the flower beds, all so perfectly beautiful!
In Bug's Life Land, the decorations were huge, because, you know, we were bugs.
Not a great picture, but this window display just spoke to me.
This picture is of the three amigos, but look at the *details*. The poinsettias on the roof, the pinatas, the streamers, it all just is so pleasing to the eye!
The shading in the letters.....
The castle during the day. Snow on the rooftops, the lights, and garlands. SO beautiful.
One more window display, all made out of crystals.
And one last picture, this beautiful tree. Loved every minute of this vacation!
Next time, I'll put up pictures of us! ;)
